• Sept. 13, 2024 – Senior portraits are due
• Nov. 1, 2024 –  EXTENDED! Last day to submit senior portrait with $15 late fee
• Nov. 1, 2024 – EXTENDED! Last day to order and submit senior ads
• Dec. 20, 2024 – Yearbook price goes up to $65

Books can be purchased anytime throughout the school year. The price will rise with time, so the earlier you purchase the book the better. 

The yearbook is a production that goes on year-round. The staff works closely with publisher Herff Jones to make sure there is a well-organized deadline calendar to ensure the best printing quality and timeliness.  

For that reason, senior deadlines are strict. The deadline to turn in senior photos will be Sept. 13, 2024. After this date through Oct. 18, there is a $15 late fee. Senior photos will not be accepted after Oct. 18.

Seniors should make sure to schedule their sitting to allow time for touchups and to submit the photo on time. Remember, deadlines for senior photos are similar for all schools in the area, so the earlier you contact your photographer, the better.

Important: We will not accept selfies as senior portraits. Before submitting a senior photo, please make sure to follow the restrictions and requirements:

• Vertical orientation
• 300 dpi
• .jpg or .jpeg format
• 2-by-3 inches

These requirements ensure the best picture and printing quality. Most professional photographers are already aware of these requirements, but we want to make sure that you are aware of them as well. If these requirements are not met, the photo may not work in the book. In addition to these requirements, please make sure your face is clearly visible in the picture (face should be at least ½ inch).

These photographers have all agreed to submit your senior portrait for you. View the brochure and website for each photographer to see their prices and information.

For seniors using a photographer other than one of our preferred photographers, please give them a copy of these instructions. If you are submitting your senior portrait yourself, please read this carefully.

To submit your senior photo, go to www.hjeshare.com. This is the website you will use to upload your senior photos. The site will bring you to a login screen. Follow these steps:

1. To log in, enter the school code: ahs2025
2. To upload the images, you must fill in all of the information requested of you and accept the terms and conditions.
3. Select Upload Your Portrait and then click on Select Photo. We ask that you please only upload the ONE photo you would like to appear in the book.
4. Crop the photo so that it clearly shows the face of the senior. 
5. You will then be asked to enter information for the photo:
   1. First and Last name of the student
   2. Grade of student (12)
6. When all of the information has been entered, click the Submit Photo button
7. When the upload is complete, you can exit the browser.

Please do not send the yearbook staff your photo. We do not want to risk your photo getting lost or overlooked in an inbox. We appreciate your help in getting these photos uploaded for us!

To account for space on pages and give the yearbook staff enough time to create senior tributes, all forms, materials and payment should be received no later than Nov. 1, 2024 (Extended from previously published date of Oct. 18). Please note that space is limited, and once it is filled, we may not be able to include your tribute. Seniors should place their orders as soon as possible.

All sales will be made through the Herff Jones Yearbook Order Center.

Senior ads are not a requirement, but they are a fantastic option to commemorate achievements and celebrate accomplishments. Ads are sold in a variety of different sizes and prices:

• 1/8 page (4.25-by-2.75 inches) for $80 (fits one picture)  
• 1/4 page (4.25-by-5.5 inches) for $125 (up to two pictures)

Each size comes with options for the number of photos and amount of characters in the written message. Submit digital or physical photos – keep in mind that photos must be 300 dpi.

You have a choice! Create the tribute online using a template guide. Or, create your own tribute and send it in.

Designing your own ad

If you would like to create a senior ad yourself (or if someone else, such as the yearbook staff, is designing the ad for you), please select “School Ad Creation” when purchasing online and send your completed ad using HJ eShare.

Before sending your ad, please make sure that the saved file meets the following requirements:

• RGB color
• 300 dpi (minimum)
• JPG format
• Allow at least a ¼ inch on all sides for cropping and placement

If you would like a member of the yearbook staff to create your ad, select “School Ad Creation” when purchasing your ad online and send the yearbook staff your photos and message text, and a member of the staff will create the ad for you.

Please send your 300 dpi photos and your message text via email to thearvadanyearbook@gmail.com

In the email, please include the student's name as well as the size of the ad you purchased. Also, let us know of any other details we should be aware of (colors, arrangement of pictures, etc.)

How to submit your own ad

1. Go to HJ eShare. If asked to log in, enter the school code: AHS2025.
2. To upload the images, you must fill in all of the information requested of you and accept the terms and conditions.
3. You can upload up to 10 photos; however, we ask that you please only upload the one you would like to appear in the book.
4. You will then be asked to enter information for the photo:
   1. First and last name of the student
   2. Grade of student (12)
   3. Description of the photo (senior ad).
   4. Please know that if information is missing, the upload will result in a validation error.
5. When all of the information has been entered, click the Submit Image Information button
6. Confirm the upload files and click OK.
7. When the upload is complete, you can exit the browser.
