Why Should You Attend Arvada High School?

Arvada High School has been providing educational excellence for more 125 years. We are proud to be the first high school in Arvada and one of the first in Jeffco. Learn about our history on our website or visit the museum in our lobby.

We are one of the smaller high schools in Jeffco and this allows our faculty and staff to really get to know our students and their families. Our Family Liaison and Community Resource Room not only support area families with physical needs like school supplies and groceries, but also host educational and holiday events.

In addition to a full compliment of academic classes including Advanced Placement options, we have numerous unique elective classes. For example, students can learn culinary techniques in our Pro Start program or anchor the news in our award-winning Journalism program. Arvada High School is thrilled to be the recipient of a grant from the Patrick Surtain II Foundation which will provide us with a state of the art health science facility. 

We offer a large variety of athletics and activites including girls wrestling, flag football, marching band and e-sports. Students are encouraged to participate even if they have never played the sport, picked up an instrument, or stepped on a stage before.
