Principal Caroline Frazee

Caroline Frazee, a dedicated educator from Alamosa, Colorado, is proud to be the principal of Arvada High School. She graduated from CU Boulder in 2001 with a degree in English Literature and went on to earn her MA in Curriculum and Instruction from CU Denver in 2007. During her 18 years in education, Caroline has served as a middle and high school teacher, instructional coach, dean of instruction, and Assistant Principal. Now in her third year at Arvada High School, she is excited about the opportunities that a small school with a huge heart offers to the Arvada community.
Assistant Principal Brittany Brewster

Brittany Brewster is the Assistant Principal of Student Success overseeing Arvada's Empowerment Academy. Her career began working with adolescents in a mental health treatment center and foster care, which led her to roles in schools as a dropout prevention specialist and MTSS coordinator. She is passionate about helping every student reach their graduation goals.
Outside of school, Brittany loves spending time with her husband and two sons. She enjoys being active, whether she’s swimming, paddle boarding, biking, or working out. She also loves camping with her family and trying out new baking recipes.
Assistant Principal Hannah Doran

Now in her 17th year in education, Hannah Doran serves as Assistant Principal at Arvada High School, where she is beginning her 7th year as a proud Bulldog. With a background in special education and outdoor education, she brings a unique perspective to student learning—rooted in equity, inclusion, and real-world experiences. As a champion of restorative practices, she focuses on building relationships, fostering community, and creating opportunities that engage students beyond the classroom.
Outside of school, she enjoys reading, hiking, adventuring, and finding hidden treasures while thrift shopping.
Assistant Principal Jesse Hernandez

Jesse Hernandez brings over 16 years of experience in education and athletics. A proud Denver native and first-generation college graduate, his journey as the son of a single mother has fueled his passion for equity, belonging, and student growth through sports. Before becoming Athletic Director at Arvada High School, Jesse served in leadership roles at Westminster High, Westminster Academy for International Studies, and Thornton High. A former teacher and head football coach at Abraham Lincoln High, he believes athletics can profoundly shape students’ lives. Jesse has been recognized as a Distinguished Teacher, Coach of the Year, and was elected to the Colorado Athletic Directors Association Board in 2023.
Assistant Principal Julie Waage

Julie Waage is proud to serve as Assistant Principal at Arvada High School, where she is dedicated to fostering a supportive and thriving learning environment for all students. A longtime Arvada resident, Julie has worked in Jeffco Public Schools for over 20 years and has been serving the greater Arvada community since 2015.
Rooted in the values of equity, community, advocacy, and personal connection, Julie brings a collaborative and student-centered approach to her leadership. She believes in building strong relationships and ensuring every student feels seen, supported, and empowered.
Outside of school, Julie enjoys reading, exploring history, traveling, and spending quality time with her family—and her flock of amazingly adorable pet chickens. She is honored to be a part of the Bulldog family and continues to invest in the future of Arvada High with heart and purpose.
